The Beauty in The Broken

In the cracks that are thought to be forgotten contain beauty not noticed in everyday life. Throughout this year, this journey has been searching for these aspects within the world. The broken is not just an item that is dropped. It can be something as small as a tear to a broken heart and beyond. Never being the same is not a bad thing. When the cracks are uncovered, it is not to shy away but to stare the challenge in the eyes and grow. How something or someone is defined is not just by their flaws that make them unique but by who they are deep down. Cracks open up the core to be seen and found. Pieces come together to make something beautiful.

Different materials and texture came together to show the strength of the broken. Using different media such as paints, cloth, oils, or anything hands can handle are used to display beauty of a broken piece that may not be seen to the human eye or even just the connections to what is seen. Mistakes are meant to be made and seen, not to be covered up. By using multiple elements in each piece through media or line work, a sense of something that was once apart is now whole shining for all to see.
